Our team’s primary focus is Emergency Care. When their primary or “family” veterinarians are closed, pet parents in the area come to us for urgent medical treatments. Other hospitals also send patients our way if they do not have the resources to provide them the emergency care they need. Our veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians can treat all types of emergencies including wounds, injuries, complications from procedures, allergic reactions and more. We are fully equipped to perform emergency operations on demand.

What are your opening hours?

We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.

Are appointments needed before coming to your hospital?

No, walk-ins are always welcome at our practice. Please don’t hesitate to bring your pet to our hospital if you think they need urgent medical care. If possible, please call us ahead of time at 705-741-5832. This way, we can provide you with instructions for your pet’s specific situation. Depending on the patient and the emergency, certain measures should be taken to minimize damage or severity of injury.

When should I take my pet to the ER?

When it comes to the health of your loyal companion, it is always better to be overprotective. Don’t think twice to reach out to your primary veterinarian or to our team if you think something is wrong. Remember, you can always call us first before stopping by. Our client care representatives will ask the right questions to determine if your pet needs medical attention right away. Some signs that indicate veterinary emergencies are:
