Jamila’s passion for animals began with her high school co-op at a vet clinic. After completing her degree in Biological Science, Jamila pursued her love of animals and conservation by travelling to China to work closely with her favourite animal, the giant panda.
She loved the hands-on approach to animal health and decided that being a Registered Veterinary Technician was the way to go. Since graduating from Georgian College in 2018, she has worked in emergency and critical care and enjoys all aspects of the job.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and when not abroad she spends time with her Hermann’s tortoise named Tortellini.
