Charlene has been in the Veterinary Industry since she graduated from the Animal Care Assistant program at Sheridan College in 1992. She is passionate about client education and awareness and is committed to strengthening the human/animal bond. She is now a clinic manager and works part-time at Kawartha Veterinary Emergency Clinic.
Since childhood, Charlene has strongly connected with animals, always bringing home stray dogs and cats and lovingly caring for others’ pets.
She has a keen interest in animal behaviour and a passion for helping clients with end-of-life care for their beloved pets. She loves that she can make a small difference in every client’s day by treating them with kindness and compassion during some of their most difficult times.
She sometimes tries pet medicine so she knows if it tastes awful to understand better why it can be difficult for clients to medicate their pets and to educate them better! Charlene has three pets: Theo, a 4-year-old German Shepherd; George, 4 a 4-year-old Domestic short-haired feline; and Murray, a 2-year-old Domestic long-haired.
